چکیده
Controlling rockfall-related risks is a requirement for safe pit operations and primarily mitigated through adequate bench geometry design implementation. This paper presents method rockfall hazard analysis in-pit potentially impacting external sensible areas, adapted from natural analyses. The considers the susceptibility to rockfalls pre-mining, originated failures, those initiated as flyrock. Rockfall trajectory models are used estimate potential blocks reaching exposed elements. Natural trajectories baseline on which evaluate effects of open environment perceptions communities in area. illustrated an steep terrain Peruvian Andes at feasibility level study. illustrates flexibility including considerations pre-mining impacts elements interest, developing mitigation strategies that consider rock block velocities, heights, energies spatial distribution trajectories. results highlight importance considering three-dimensional trajectories, how such insights allow increasing efficiency resources available protection structures.

Analysis of rock-fall and rock-fall avalanche seismograms in the French Alps
This study reviews seismograms from 10 rock-fall events recorded between 1992 and 2001 by the permanent seismological network Sismalp in the French Alps. A new seismic magnitude scale was defined, which allowed us to compare and classify ground-motion vibrations generated by these Alpine rock-falls. Each rock-fall has also been characterized by its ground-motion duration t30 at an epicentral di...

introduction one of the factors affecting in the control of environmental hazards, is the stability of the structure landforms. human activities especially in the case transportation, and also the need to expand it in different areas, can significantly affect on the region geomorphologic structures and causing high damages on life and financial. as a result, human activity can operate as a fact...
متن کاملScheduling Tools for Open-Pit Mining Operations
In open-pit mining operations, there are several levels of planning, each of which passes down restrictions to the level below. Each planning task is to determine the order in which material should be mined and how it should be processed, such that blending and utilisation targets are met. The mining operations are subject to various constraints on equipment use, maintenance and other resources...
متن کاملThe Use of Monte-Carlo Simulations in Seismic Hazard Analysis in Tehran and Surrounding Areas
Probabilistic seismic hazard analysis is a technique for estimating the annual rate of exceedance of a specified ground motion at a site due to the known and suspected earthquake sources. A Monte-Carlo approach is utilized to estimate the seismic hazard at a site. This method uses numerous resampling of an earthquake catalog to construct synthetic catalogs to evaluate the ground motion hazard a...
متن کاملLimit and Shakedown Analysis of Circular Tube Containing External Pit
The circular tubes containing external pit defects are analyzed in a lower-bound finite element computational form based on the static shakedown theorem. The shakedown analysis has not been commonly used in the engineering due to the large amount of computations. To overcome the numerical difficulties, a temperature parameter method is used, in which a pseudo-temperature field is applied to the...
